NOVELNY, the New York Online Virtual Electronic Library, is a public no-cost online information network that creates a “library without walls.”

NOVELNY provides a gateway for all New Yorkers, even those in the most geographically isolated communities, to a vast array of electronic books, e-journals, full text magazines and articles as well as to the rich resources of libraries throughout the state via online catalogs, digitized collections of photographs, images, maps, manuscripts, encyclopedias, journals and other proprietary databases licensed on a statewide basis for free public access.
Ebrary is an online digital library of full texts of over 134,000 scholarly e-books.It provides a set of online database collections that combine scholarly books from over 435 academic, trade, and professional publishers. It also includes sheet music (9,000 titles) and government documents.
Ebrary contains a suite of reference tools and a rich collection that includes books, journals, magazines, maps, and other publications. Illustrations are included. Users gain access through a subscribing library and can browse, view, search, copy, and print documents from their computers. Ebrary’s aggregated collections cover academic disciplines including business and economics, computers, technology and engineering, humanities, life and physical science, and social and behavioral sciences.
PubMed comprises over 22 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. PubMed citations and abstracts include the fields of biomedicine and health, covering portions of the life sciences, behavioral sciences, chemical sciences, and bioengineering. PubMed also provides access to additional relevant web sites and links to the other NCBI molecular biology resources.
ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health SourceTM provides users with reliable healthcare information covering nursing, allied health, alternative and complementary medicine, and much more. This versatile database is designed to meet the needs of researchers at healthcare facilities as well as nursing and allied health programs at academic institutions. ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health Source provides abstracting and indexing for more than 1,070 titles, with over 890 titles in full-text, plus more than 12,300 full text dissertations representing the most rigorous scholarship in nursing and related fields.
